Casein allergy

The casein test is a blood allergy test. The test for casein allergy means casein allergen.


The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed when casein allergy is suspected. The advantage of of the test is that there is no need to discontinue antihistamines.


The test is performed in case of suspected casein allergy antihistamines.

Blood allergen testing is also used for qualification for desensitization of casein allergy. It is recommended also for the diagnosis of allergenic agents in children under 4 years of age.
