Allergy to alder

The alder test is a blood allergy test. The test for alder allergy refers to the allergen Alnus.

The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed when alder allergy is suspected. The advantage of of the test is that there is no need to discontinue antihistamines antihistamines. The blood allergen test is used also for qualification for alder allergy desensitization.

It is also recommended for the diagnosis of allergenic agents in children under the age of 4 years.
