Allergy to dust

The test for Dermatophagoides farinae (house dust mite) Is an allergy test from the blood. Testing for allergy to mites means the allergen Dermatophagoides farinae.


The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed when mite allergy is suspected. The advantage of of the test is that there is no need to discontinue antihistamines antihistamines. The blood allergen test is used also for qualification for desensitization of mite allergies.

It is also recommended for the diagnosis of allergenic agents in children under the age of 4 years.
