Scope of the package:

17 - OH Progesterone- testing blood levels of the hormone used in the differentiation of hirsutism, infertility and female pseudohermaphroditism.

Free Testosterone (FTST)-a blood level test of the main male sex hormone that is also found in small amounts in women.

Testosterone-T- a test of the level of total testosterone most of which circulates in the blood in association with a transport protein. Only a small amount of it is present in the body in free form.  

Androstendione- a blood level test. Among other things, it is used to evaluate adrenal cortical disorders, diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome and hirsutism.

Dehydroepiandosterone sulfate - DHEA-S- Is a non-pyrogenic androgen used as a marker of adrenal cortex mass, and a diagnostic parameter for precocious puberty.

Transvaginal pelvic ultrasound- The test is used to evaluate a woman's reproductive organs and small pelvic structures. With its help it is possible to evaluate the organs in the small pelvis (the reproductive organ and the mucous membrane of the uterine cavity, the endometrium, the cervix, the ovary, the sinus of Douglas).

Preparation for the examination

Preparation for transvaginal ultrasound:

For the examination, the bladder should be emptied and the patient should take care of normal daily hygiene. Patients under the age of 18 are asked to attend the examination with a legal guardian.
For blood tests, report on an empty stomach in the morning - around 8 a.m. - to the chosen facility during the hours of operation of the Point of Collection. 2-3 days before the test it is recommended to avoid alcohol and 12 hours before the test do not consume coffee or tea. If possible, it is recommended to perform the test before taking the morning dose of medicines - unless otherwise advised by the doctor. In the morning, it is recommended to drink a glass of water and remain at rest for 10-15 minutes before the test.
