The panel includes 4 genes: APOE, APP, PSEN1, PSEN2. The test is performed using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology. This technology allows for highly precise examination of all areas within these genes in your DNA that may contain potentially pathogenic variants (mutations), which could contribute to the development of Alzheimer's disease in the future.

Who is the Alzheimer's Test for?
Genetic tests are recommended for:
- People whose relatives have had this disease;
- People showing symptoms that could indicate an early onset of the disease.
Before undergoing genetic testing for Alzheimer's, consult with a neurologist or a clinical geneticist.
How does the Alzheimer's test proceed?
- Purchase Predict&Prevent - select the appropriate Predict&Prevent panel and make the purchase at any Centrum Medyczne Damiana facility or online.
- Come to the blood collection at the collection point during working hours of one of our facilities.
- The test does not require special preparation. You do not need to fast or stop taking prescribed medications. A doctor's referral is not required.
- The collected sample is sent for analysis in Medicover Genetics' modern laboratories in Germany.
- You will receive the result 3 to 4 weeks after the sample reaches the laboratory. The test result will be sent to the previously provided email address.
- FREE GENETIC CONSULTATION - After receiving the test report, you can discuss its result with a geneticist within 3 months of receiving the result.
How long does it take to get the result and how to interpret it?
The report from the test (in Polish) will be sent to the previously provided email address within 30 days from the delivery of the sample to the laboratory.
It is important to note that the interpretation of genetic results depends on the patient's clinical picture.
After the test, a comprehensive report will be prepared, which includes a detailed interpretation of the detected genetic changes. The report will include the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) of the selected genetic panel or the comprehensive panel of all genes.
How to prepare for the Alzheimer's test?
