What is microneedling treatment?

Skin micropuncture (micro-needle mesotherapy) is a minimally invasive procedure used in dermatology and cosmetology. It involves the creation of controlled micro-injuries to the skin using tiny, pulsating needles. The purpose of the treatment is to stimulate natural regenerative processes.

Does the procedure hurt? What is the recovery period?

The procedure may cause discomfort, but is generally not described by patients as painful. Immediately after the procedure, the skin will be red and sensitive to the touch; it may peel slightly. These discomforts subside after 1-2 days. You can return to your daily activities immediately after the procedure, although UV exposure should be avoided.

What are the contraindications for the treatment?

Contraindications to the procedure include active skin infections (e.g. herpes), pregnancy, breastfeeding, cancer, taking medications that reduce blood clotting, hemophilia.
