The program includes conservative, pharmacological, and surgical treatments, as well as post-bariatric procedure care. What does Stage 1 – Basic Version include?
1. Laboratory test package:
- blood count

About the Program
The Obesity Treatment Program is the result of many years of experience from an interdisciplinary team of specialists. It was created for adults struggling with overweight and obesity, offering comprehensive care at every stage of treatment. The program was developed in cooperation with physicians certified by the Polish Association for the Study of Obesity (PTLO) and the Polish Society for Obesity Research (PTBO), as well as dietitians, psycho-dietitians, psychologists, and physiotherapists.

Preparation for Tests
Body Composition Analysis
- Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before the test
- Do not consume beverages containing caffeine 12 hours before the test
- Do not engage in physical activity immediately before the test. Ideally, refrain from exercise for 12 hours before the analysis. Otherwise, the results may be inaccurate. The measurements should be taken after a period of rest.
- Do not eat before the test. Your last meal should be at least 2–3 hours before your visit. If possible, the test should be done on an empty stomach. Measurements should be taken at the same time of day each time.
- Empty your bladder 15–30 minutes before the test.
- Do not perform the test immediately after a shower or bath.
- Feet should be bare during the test (do not apply creams or lotions to feet or hands).
- Do not wear jewelry or a watch during the test.
- The test is best performed in underwear or tight-fitting light clothing. Try to wear similar clothing for follow-up measurements to minimize measurement error.
- It is recommended not to perform the test during menstruation.
There are also some absolute contraindications for body composition analysis:
- Pacemaker
- Electrical devices in the abdominal cavity, such as “Ability” systems
- Metal implants in the body (does not apply to cochlear implants or insulin pumps)
- Pregnancy
- Epilepsy
People with orthodontic appliances, dental implants, cochlear implants, insulin pumps, or bone screws/plates can undergo the test.
Subsequent measurements should preferably be taken at a similar time of day.
Laboratory Tests
To ensure the most accurate laboratory test results, please review the short guidelines below.
Blood collection
The day before the test – last meal by 6:00 PM, light dinner, then arrive fasting in the morning. Avoid intense physical activity, alcohol, and high caffeine intake 24 hours before the test.
Make sure you are not experiencing an infection on the day of your blood draw!
Urine collection
Collect the first urine of the day, after proper hygiene. The sample should be taken from the midstream. Abstain from sexual activity 24 hours prior to the test. Do not perform the test from 2 days before menstruation until 2 days after it ends or during menstruation.
Elevated body temperature and infections make the test invalid. Please inform us of any such conditions before your visit.
