An oncologist specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer-related conditions.
During the consultation, the doctor may:
- take an oncological medical history and perform a physical examination
- make a diagnosis
- provide medical recommendations
- prescribe medications
- issue referrals for tests, specialist consultations, or hospitalization
- issue medical leave certificates.
During the visit, the doctor may perform a rectal examination (per rectum).
The consultation lasts 20 minutes.
