Citomegalovirus IgG antibodies (CMV IgG)

Test the level of IgG antibodies to cytomegalovirus (CMV).

Cytomegalovirus infection is often asymptomatic in people with a a properly functioning immune system and the virus remains in a dormant state throughout life. Weakened immunity due to illness or medications can activate the virus.

The source of infection can be:

• saliva,
• urine,
• pot,
• sperm and any other secretions of the infected person.

IgG antibodies do not appear in the body until several weeks after infection and can persist for life.

IgG antibodies can be found in the body only a few weeks after infection and can persist for life

• Test result available within 4 working days.
• Possibility to collect the result at the reception of any Center Medicover Medical Centre.
• Ability to access the result via the Internet (download required password at the reception desk of the Medicover Medical Centre).
