Sławomir Badurek

For over 25 years, he has been treating patients with various types of diabetes. He has experience in treating women with gestational diabetes, individuals with cardiac complications, and diabetics with concomitant kidney disease. His interest in nephrology is reflected in his highly acclaimed doctoral thesis in this field, defended at the Nicolaus Copernicus University Medical College. One of the main areas of his practice is the treatment of obesity using his proprietary therapeutic methods. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the "We Know What We Eat" Foundation and the author of numerous articles and educational materials for patients with diabetes. He is a lecturer and educator valued by both physicians and patients. In recognition of his series of lectures for blind patients with diabetes, Sławomir Badurek, MD, PhD, was awarded the Silver Badge of the Polish Diabetes Association.

For many years he was professionally associated with the Provincial Hospital in Toruń, where he worked, among others, as a physician in the internal medicine department, the diabetes clinic, and the head of the Clinical Department of Nephrology, Diabetology and Internal Medicine at the Nicolaus Copernicus University Medical College.
