Do you often eat meals in random places, drink drinks with ice cubes? Do you eagerly indulge in beauty treatments? Or do you plan trips abroad, especially to countries with poor sanitary and epidemiological standards? In any of these situations, you could become infected with the hepatitis virus.
Hepatitis A infection most often occurs after consuming virus-contaminated drinking water or food, especially raw food. Hepatitis B infection most often occurs through contact with infected blood and other body fluids, such as during medical procedures, including dental procedures, during beauty salon or hair salon procedures, and through sexual contact.
Don't underestimate these risks, get vaccinated against hepatitis A and B. This is one of the most effective methods of preventing hepatitis.
Why is it worth getting vaccinated?
- You will protect yourself against hepatitis A and B.
- You will minimize the risk of hospitalization due to infection. More than 40% of patients over the age of 40 infected with hepatitis A require hospitalization.
- You reduce the risk of severe, life-threatening liver damage (cirrhosis). Hepatitis B can cause cirrhosis and liver cancer.
- You gain the protective effect of the vaccine against hepatitis A and hepatitis B infection within 2-4 weeks after vaccination.
- A full course of vaccination provides long-term protection.
- Taking the combination vaccine is much more convenient than single-component vaccines, as the number of injections required is reduced from five to three.
What does the service cover?
The service includes the administration of one dose of the combination vaccine, intended for people 16 years of age and older, which immunizes against both types of hepatitis A and B virus.
Full immunity is achieved after receiving 3 doses of vaccination. Each time, prior medical qualification is required before administering a dose of the vaccine - after purchasing the service, please contact us at 22 566 22 22. Qualification for vaccination is paid separately.
The effectiveness of the vaccine is very high, and the protection after undergoing the entire vaccination cycle usually lasts for life.
